CELIA'S POEMS
No 188 September 21
I’ve told
you all already,
Of the day
we had with Polly,
We were
quite excited,
But the day
was far from jolly.
So we
thought we’d have another try,
Eat out at
the caravan,
With all
this upheaval,
We’d do the
best we can,
They’d
arranged to come last Tuesday,
Her
grandson’s girlfriend got a cold,
She’d got
to go to be tested,
Our
meeting, once again on hold.
So we
arranged for this Tuesday,
Last night
we got the news,
Once again
we are in lockdown,
And again
they’d to refuse.
So today
before they lock us up,
We’re going
to try again,
It’s
supposed to be a lovely day,
With our
luck it will rain.
