CELIA'S POEMS
No 312 January 21
The weather’s very miserable,
But it’s better than the snow,
The snow looks very pretty,
But it makes the traffic slow.
Well all the roads were in a mess,
But two friends we know so well,
Got their names in the paper,
I’m proud this tale to tell.
Christine & Raymond Darville,
Run a shop down Cemetery Road,
Because the road was thick with snow,
They needed to ease the load.
So because they do sell rock salt,
They had it close at hand,
They cleared and dug the road clear,
Probably not a job they’d planned.
Neither of them have good health,
But they tackled it anyhow,
Just went and got the job done,
Such heroes they are now.
