CELIA'S POEMS

No 343        February 21

We were at the caravan, “Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning”  (Alan Jackson), Geoff thought we might be in lockdown for 2 – 3 weeks, well “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word” (Elton John). I can’t “Believe” (Elton) “I’m Still Standing” (Elton), we’ve made such a “Sacrifice” (Elton). I’ve got the “Summertime Blues” (Eddie Cochran), all our well planned holidays we had to “Return To Sender” (Elvis), they are “Always On My Mind” (Elvis) ‘cause we were just “Living On Love” (Alan Jackson). There may have been “A Little Less Conversation” (Elvis), “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” (Elton), but “Here In The Real World” (Alan Jackson) for my little Bubbles out there, now you are “Blowing In The Wind” (Bob Dylan) but you are “Always On My Mind” (Willie Nelson) and don’t forget “You’ll Never Walk Alone” (Gerry & The Pacemakers) ‘cause this time “Let’s Hang On (Frankie Valli) ‘cause “It’s Now Or Never” (Elvis).
