CELIA'S POEMS
No 348
February 26
We did used
to love cruising,
To the
Caribbean we would go,
But all
that seemed to finish,
When we
found Marco.
One time
when we got on the ship,
And our
cabin we did find,
Only 3
cases were outside,
Had one
been left behind.
It was
quite upsetting,
It was
Geoffs that wasn’t there,
Thank God
it wasn’t one of mine,
I just
might have gone spare.
The phone
rang and they told us,
It had
fallen in the sea,
When you
are possibly 12 decks up,
Just how
could that be.
But then
the next day came a knock,
A steward
brought the clothes,
All cleaned
and pressed on hangers,
I
could have done with those.
That serves
me right for my selfish thoughts,
As my case
I now turned out,
Geoff’s
were all hung up and neat,
I got the
iron out.
