CELIA'S POEMS

No 357        March 07

When we go to the caravan,

There’s many things I like,

And no, even though it’s flat there,

It isn’t ride a bike.

There’s lots and lots of Charity shops,

Which I love to look around,

And come out feeling happy,

If a bargain I have found.

But this time will be different,

When that visit we do make,

Instead of buying something,

I’ll have lots of things to take.

A while ago I cleared my wardrobes out,

And although it made me weep,

I found there were lots of things,

I could no longer keep.

Some of the things I still love,

And why I hold them dear,

Well I bought them for one of the weddings,

And they’ve been married 30 year.

I’ve lots and lots of wardrobes,

And I just fill them all,

I do feel rather guilty,

The room I’ve left for Geoff is small.

Sometimes I go and try things on,

Pretend to a shop I’ve gone,

I’ve come out with a lot of things,

And did not pay for one.
