The kids
are starting school again,
Is that the
start of it,
I bet some
mothers won’t be pleased,
Their
uniforms don’t fit.
These days
I just cannot believe,
When the
little ones start school,
They’ve got
to be in uniform,
Quite an
expensive rule.
I know they
all look lovely,
But they
shoot up oh so quick,
The
uniforms soon get too small,
Their
mothers feel quite sick.
I said to
my great granddaughter,
Are you in
a bubble when at school,
She said of
course, you should know that,
It is a
Covid rule.
I said how
many’s in it,
Is your
best friend in with you,
She said,
well of course she is,
There’s
thirty, not a few.
So the
school’s bubble and my bubble,
Are the
ones you should be in,
As for
Boris’ though it’s done the trick,
But I’m
afraid the others win.
