CELIA'S POEMS
No 361
March 11
Some may
think I’m bossy,
Where do
you get that idea,
I just have
my opinions,
And have to
make them clear.
My mother
taught me many things,
She kept me
well on track,
She said
always think before you speak,
‘cause you
can’t take it back.
My mother
was so very wise,
The things
she said I took to heart,
I’m glad I
remembered all she said,
Too soon we
had to part.
When we go
to Marco,
We land in
Fort Myers,
We’ve been
travelling for so long,
And feel
ready to retire.
But we
still have 50 miles to go,
A hire car
we get,
When we
have put our luggage in,
I say to
Geoff “NOT YET”,
This is a
car you’ve never seen,
So
familiarise yourself with it,
The lights,
indicators and mirrors,
I just
don’t need a fit,
They drive
on the other side of the road,
And it is
dark outside,
But he gets
me into Marco,
My delight
I cannot hide.
