CELIA'S POEMS
No 364
March 14
Although
I’m racked with aches and pains,
Alzheimers
isn’t one,
Digging
deep into my memories,
Then
telling you has been such fun.
When I
think of something,
And put it
into rhyme,
It’s made
me start to realise,
I’ve had a
damn good time.
It was not
always easy,
And I was
often tired,
At 25 I
often wished,
That I
could be retired.
But things
got a little easier,
When my
three girls got married,
My son was
a little longer,
He would
not be hurried.
But however
old your kids might be,
They’re
always on your mind,
And when
they bring you grandchildren,
What
happiness you find.
Motherhood’s not easy,
They always
need your care,
It’s a job
you’ve got forever,
You try
always to be there.
