CELIA'S POEMS
No 365
March 15
Celia just
having a laugh.
This week
will be a milestone,
I’ve
completed one whole year,
It’s kept
us all together,
Although
we’ve not been near.
It helps me
to keep going,
When these
poems I have to send,
I hear
Ladbrokes are taking bets,
If I can go
until the end.
So go and
get your money on,
You know I
won’t give in,
I’ve a very
competitive spirit,
And always
want to win.
But please
don’t go to Ladbrokes,
Although on
anything they bet,
I think I’m
not just in there,
‘cause they
don’t know about me yet.
Of course
if they should see my book,
They’d lay
good odds and maybe boast,
“An 84
going all the way,
She’ll fall
at the last post”.
Well as I
said, they don’t know me,
But their
eyes might leave their socket,
When all my
“bubbles” collect their cash,
And they’re
well out of pocket.
