CELIA'S POEMS

When I
started bowling,
The
greenkeeper I knew well,
He often
came to talk to us,
And this
story he did tell.
A very good
friend of his,
Unfortunately had a stroke,
So our man
would go and visit him,
And he
would have to talk.
His friend
had nearly lost his speech,
So he made
most of the conversation,
One day a
nurse was waving,
Trying to
draw his attention.
But he just
ignored her,
As he ate
all his mates nuts
He wouldn’t
let her make him leave,
She hadn’t
got the guts,
After a
while she came over,
Looked at
the empty bowl,
She said I
was trying to tell you,
He sucked
the chocolate of them all.
