When Geoff 
and I got married,
We were not 
in our prime,
Geoff had 
been a bachelor,
And it was 
my second time.
We had a 
lovely wedding,
Our 
honeymoon was stupendous,
We went on 
a bowling holiday,
80 people 
went with us.
Hardly the 
usual honeymoon,
A romantic 
getaway,
It was a 
tour of America,
And our 
friends all made the day.
When we 
were on the initial flight,
The captain 
knew we’d just got married,
The hostess 
came up to our seat,
Champagne 
is what she carried.
Our tour 
was very eventful,
This I’ve 
got to say,
I’ll tell 
you all about it,
That will 
be another day.
We ended up 
in Las Vegas,
Geoff said 
“We’ll have the champagne I think”,
As he 
pulled the cork, the bottle slipped,
It flew 
under the bed and emptied, we never got a drink.
This year 
we will celebrate 29 years,
Thank you 
Geoff, you’ve been a treasure,
I got 
myself a “toy boy”,
Every day 
has been a pleasure.
